Challenge

When dealing with extraordinary growth one of the biggest challenges for any company is containing costs. Traveltek in partnership with Traverse, helped develop robotic process automation (RPA) for My Cruises to streamline their internal accounts payable process.

My Cruises needed a solution to reduce the workload and pressure on their accounts payable team. With around 2,500 (and counting) supplier payments processed and being handled across different departments each month, an automated solution was at the forefront of their mind.

Solution

The introduction of a digital worker. Triggered by a receipt added to a booking, the digital worker used pre-determined rules and logic to create a virtual credit card payment to the cruise line directly, whilst automatically recording that payment onto the booking file.

Results

  1. A supplier payment which previously took 5-7 minutes by an employee now takes seconds

  2. 100% of processed supplier payments are guaranteed to be accurate

  3. Regulatory compliance across the sales, after-sales and finance teams with clear processes installed.
